Here be an Alfa Romeo 4C.
Awesome, isn’t it?
It really should be a proper alternative to a Porsche 718 Cayman/Boxster don’t you think? And if you’re wondering, I’m talking daily drivability like any Porsche driver does their car.
Alfa could have really build on making a daily driver version to sell more. A car that most potential/current owners could drive more often than weekend canyon carving/ C & C/ autocross. Electric power steering and a more compliant suspension option would have gone a long way. There just isn’t enough hardcore men & women that would buy this to drive daily. Or even semi-daily.
Damn you, Sergio “The Sweater” Marchionne. You spend too much time fawning over Ferrari and the Scuderia that you me thinks you half-ass running FCA.
I’ll give this: the 4C is hardcore bad ass as is.
It’s just that Serg should have made the current version of the 4C into a factory Lancia Stratos instead.

I would daily the 4C. The problem is I won’t win the lottery. One cup holder and an empty passenger seat is all you need for the daily commute through back country roads, a little highway, and a little through towns. A regular manual would still be preferred.

I would daily. I’m waiting a little longer for the values to drop into the 30s.

Would you rather a used Alfa Romeo 4C or a used Lotus Elise?

4C. I love dual clutches.

I would rather the 4C even though I hate dual clutches and love real manuals. I’m not sure why, it’s irrational.

Heck, it’s ridiculous how hard it is to find one without the 18"/19" wheels or the “race” mufflerless exhaust. I want one with the standard stuff and none of those less livable options. Gonna be a hard search for me in a few years.
